Nothing really different from a Bushranger gearbox to a standard military LT95A. The genuine bushranger build ones had the later type handbrake where the cable pulled directly on the shoes unlike the earlier type which had the lever/cam setup. Everything else is the same. That one appeared to be a brand new unused box complete with all linkages and gearlevers. Probably not worth quite that much but would be worth 5-6K as there are no new ones around these days apart from some the army may have stashed away. I would love to have got it!

Thanks for the explanation Bearman. A couple more questions for you as you or someone else on the forum may know the answer.
There were 2 Land Rover 110 4X4 Surveillance & Reconnaissance vehicles in the Minto auction. I hadn't seen that type before. I was watching one of them and it fetched above $15k. Not sure about the other one, however are they a similar spec to a RFSV? Were they used overseas or only within Australia along side the RFSV's? Are there many more of these to come to auction.
It seems that the supply of RFSV's may have come to an end unless Frontline are holding off selling any more they have warehoused. A friend of mine is after a RFSV and asked me my thoughts on the Land Rover 110 4X4 Surveillance & Reconnaissance but I wasn't sure.
Regards Warrick.

Not sure I know the answer to that one mate but a few on here like Barefoot Dave should be able to tell you that.

That's my cue, thanks Brian ;)
Warrick, the RFSV was such a good thing that General Infantry recon platoons and then RAAF Airfield Defence Guards (ADG) put their hands up for something similar.
Differences to the RFSV in simple terms.
Std Perentie tubed rims
2 rear facing, rear seats.
floor mounted storage bins with chequer plate covers to stand up through-
Machine gun pintle ring built into the extended (lower profile than RFSV) ROPS.
Due to the additional weight and higher CofG, many were also retrofitted with rear anti-sway bars.
The SRV Special forces (later SFPV(patrol vehicle) had other fruit added such as a full width tail gate to load up extra stores, High gain External GPS antenna, front mount smoke dispensers, wire cutting bar in place of the windscreen.
I hope this helps.
