Went with Carlos today to pick up my new 1977 16 footer Franklin Arrow.
I am very pleased with it, is in a original condition and it has nothing serious regarding structure or water damage.
It will be ready for next month camping trip after a good clean up, fit new tyres and brake master cylinder and a coat of Hammerite paint in the drawbar and chassis

That's a good pickup. It's incredibly hard to find a decent bunk 'van for just about any money. Just have a look around australia wide on ebay/gumtree and see the premium 'vans with bunk rooms get. There often absolutely trashed too. After all, stick 4 kids in something like a caravan and it'll usually end up, um, "well used".

I started doing some work on it, I striped the faded paint from the sides and with Carlos start removing the windows and reseal them with Sikaflex 291

Not sure what I will do with the fridge Pedro. In my old motorhome I installed a Waeco 150 lt working on 12 VDC and 240 AC running with 2 batteries of 105 amps each and 2 solar panels of 80 w each.
Perhaps in the future I go that way again or just have a couple og 50 lt Waeco or similar type chest fridges, one as a fridge and the other as freezer
In this fridge I have to change the seal and the door panel.

The van is almost finished ( needs the solar panels to be able to go free camping).
We used it during Easter in a trip to Scamander in the Tasmanian east coast.
The Magna towed it without any problem at 100 kph.The van weight 1250 kg and 120 kg on the ball.
We are happy with the set up.
We stopped 3 nights at the Sanctuary Caravan Park.

Thanks Paul, we are pleased in how finished inside, I painted white over the dark brown and the van is much pleased to be on it.
