I had problems about 3 - 4 months ago and had a recommended mobile bloke round and he regassed it, then when it lost it's cool again a few weeks later , he searched further.
His heavy handed removal of dust sealing on the pulley end resulted in ruined dust seals which couldn't be replaced so I dismissed him. He couldn't seem to understand that vehicles which go deep off road into very dusty conditions need extra sealing.
Replacement compressor fitted and all was well until now and the damn thing has lost it's cool again.
Anyone able to recommend a company (not mobile) who knows bloody Land Rovers (Defenders) and can actually fix them without abusing them.
Coming up soon ....1 2010 Puma for sale.

PS. A repairer in Perth that should read.

Mmmm. No responses to the above request. I suppose that means no aircon "expert" in Perth is worth recommending then.

my 110 had a failure of the pipe that runs along the left inner guard. Could hold a vacuum but when pressurised it leaked minute amounts that could not be detected by gas sensor. eventually changed the pipe out for one made by the local hydraulics shop. been good since but now something else leaking so just open the window.

Not exactly what you are asking for, but, I'd recommend doing some research to find a Perth based A/C mechanic who supports and works with hydrocarbon refrigerants such as Hychill.
There's also at least one other Australian company that makes hydrocarbon refrigerants too, but I think of their name right now.
Natural refrigerants i.e. hydrocarbons (essentially propane in this case), are much easier on the system as they run at lower pressures and can achieve lower temperatures.
So lower pressure means the compressor isn't working as hard and less likelihood of leaks. The molecules are also larger than those of R134a so doesn't leak as easily.

Agree with the hychil comment. you can do it yourself if careful.
