Hi, Chaps, has anyone fitted a rock stomper (I think that is what they call them) or fitted something similar? The last time I went bush towing a caravan it cost me a new back windows, never had a problem in my Disco, but looking at the fitting of those rock stomper it doesn't,t look like there is enough room between the body and the towbars, any advise would-be appreciated.:p

I use rock tamers - In this photo they are sitting down a bit so further away from rear bumper; you can lift them up and down of course; we had a D035 hitch and no issues - but I was very careful on tight turns.

I fitted a Stonestomper between the D2a and Kimberley Kamper late August, then did 4000k trip, much of it dirt roads, outback NSW, north from Broken Hill, etc ...
Nil stone damage to rear of D2, or front of the KK. Plenty of paint off the trailing arms on the KK though !
I looked at the Rock Tamers, but imho the Stonestomper is superior.

I agree - I cant remember exactly why I didn't go down the SS path....it would be worth checking how it attaches to the hitch, maybe there isn't enough room between hitch and bumper to fit the SS fittings??? Sorry, memory lapse!!
cheers
