I still think the truck is a fantastic off road tourer, However after two years of Ownership have come to the sad conclusion that the Iveco service centres I have visited are incompetent bordering on negligent .

I will never go to a Dedicated Iveco service centre again , the country Multi brand dealers are generally more competent , and more likely to have experienced mechanics. I have lots of experiences ( and others) to back that up.

Honestly I feel sorry for owners that don't have the skills or equipment to diagnose issues and self service , ( The dealers certainly don't)

Tho the dealers bugger something up on every visit at least they honour the warranty, and stamp the book to keep it valid. Post Warranty there will be some very unhappy owners ( and cheap trucks on the market)

My advice - if you buy one of these Invest the $5000 (at least) in an Iveco Eltrac EASY diagnostic interface., and buy yourself the Compleat Idiots guide to Iveco 55S17W 4x4 .

New Problem, just hit 75,000 km in mine , had a bit of a worry the other day, "Check" light on the Diff Lock panel started blinking , indicating loss of hydraulic fluid , not an uncommon issue , the fluid leaks past the o ring on the Difflock actuator piston, very easy to replace , 2 bolts to get to the $1.00 o-ring in the front or rear diff . but oh no - mine is leaking into the centre diff lock actuator. Transfer case has to come out and be completely dismantled, to replace an o-ring . they are a seriously complicated transfer case . Temporarily fixed with a shot of Lucas Transmission Fix , bloody good stuff , fixed it instantly just like it says on the bottle .
