I'm installing a bamford winch in my FFR
After having it dry fitted for a couple of weeks I see the input drive seal is leaking. Don't need more oil spots, so before I hook it up and bolt it in place I'd like to replace the seals.
Not surprisingly my google search hasn't shown anything for a 1968 bamford winch seal. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I could take it out and call around looking for a match, but if I damage it and can't find a new one, I'll be up the creek....
Maybe just pack it with heavy grease.? I expect the EP 90 will make short work of that though.
Again, any suggestions appreciated.
Rob.

Hi
It is a standard oil seal available from any bearing supplier, it is the same as the output for the pto on the gearbox. The uni joints for the drive shafts are the same as an early model Holden.
Cheers

Thanks Rod,
I was hoping that.
Have spare Uni's and see they are are all the same.
But they are in good order.
I'll strip the seal and get a couple of replacements before refitting.
Most appreciated.
