1985 County replacement seats

I might have asked this one a long time ago but are there any other seats that will fit a 1985 County with only some minor changes?

Have a look at Scheelemann seats they fit right onto the original seat frame.

If you have the seat rails (the part that bolts down on the seat box) then defender seats can swap straight over.

There's no end of seats that you can fit quite easy . The problem is getting access to the battery box or tool box . You can make up brackets that are easy to undo . Or just replace the foam rubber on the ones you have . Or go Defender , there pretty much the same !!.. Jim :)

How bout you use the old frames and get some new covers and foams from the UK. Takes a little while to set up with the seller , but a good result at a better price.

I sold all the original seats and rails:o

Turns out I'm not doing the Cape next year now anyway.

As the modded seats were fitted by Brown Davis , I think I'll just leave them in and include them in the sale of the County.
