Replacing steering angle sensor

Hi,
Has anyone replaced their steering angle sensor on their D3 TDV6?

If so any tips?

Has no one done this yet?
I'm still in need of some tips. Should I just try glueing the sensor to the column or go for a replacement sensor and swap them out?

Well it does not seem too big a job to just swap them out so I'll give it a go. After all what could go wrong? [bigwhistle]
