Steering track rod and drag link paint colour.

I am starting to clean up the steering track rod and drag link on my 1953, 80" and there appears to be remains of bronze? green paint on both rods. I would like confirmation if these were originally black or green.

Those on my 1956 107" are painted black.
It's hard to tell what the body was painted, she's had something like sky blue over the top but underneath it looks more sandy - that may or may not be relevant.

I guess you need to be careful of some past 'restorer' just painting over everything.

What colour's your chassis? Mine matches my chassis.
