Can the alternator on a 3.6 TDV8 RRS be removed without lifting the body? Access to the rear bottom bolt is prevented by the 2 connected tubes running front-rear below/beside the alternator.

Any suggestions? The WSM purchased from the shop does not include a section for the alternator on the 3.6 TDV8 engine.

Thanks

I'm not sure if it's relevant to the RRS. But on my RRV the alternator was accessed from the top after removing the radiator reservoir, and I think from the bottom.

Access to the lower rear bolt is inhibited by 2 tubes bolted together than don't seem to want to be set free. I can feel a short Topix subscription coming on...

Topix shows a nut holding the turbo inlet tube that needs to be removed which presumably allows the tube to be moved enough to access the rear bottom bolt through the opening in the inner guard.

My brother didn't want to remove that nut without good reason.

Thanks but access to the L322's alternator is not particularly applicable to the RRS.
