Hi

Working my way down the RFSV 'to do' list and next up is the following issue: If i'm driving for more than 5minutes or so the brake pedal will push down like 2/3 of it's travel before any slowing down happens... The following pump has it back to normal and the pedal action stays fine if i'm using the brakes fairly often [AKA Sydney traffic]

I have blead them which took a lot of the spongyness out when they are working but the issue is still there, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

OP did mention "RFSV to do list" so I would guess a lizard :D

Also its in the coil sprung military section ;)

I have no idea about your problem. Maybe a brake hose gone bad? Are you losing fluid?

I had the same problem with my Disco, I had the brake fluid power flushed by a workshop and now the brakes are better than they have ever been.

It is caused by moisture getting to the brake fluid over the years it has been in there. It is recommended to change the brake fluid every couple of years.

It could be poorly adjusted (loose) wheel bearings allowing the discs to wobble and push the pistons in the calipers back too far.

Check this, jack up wheel grab at 12 and 6 o'clock and wobble, if movement get someone to push brake if it stops wheel bearing is loose.
