I know that there are a few Defence members on here and a lot of ex Defence so they have all had experience dealing with the evil mob that I am currently dealing with. Many of you will probably think that ADF members get it too good with cheap housing and the rest. Try moving every few years and starting from scratch in a new community. Many of the support agencies that were run by the ADF members are now other government departments that the government is now trying to privatise. Very few of these agencies could give two hoots about the people they are paid to support. I am in the process of moving once again and it will be the end of me or at least my military career. I can't take it anymore. I locked a house in back in July at Springfield Lakes. I was then posted to Amberley for 2016. I have organised daycare and many other things in that area not to mention easy access to my children. I got a late change of location to the Brisbane CBD. I looked at all the travel times and the vicinity to trains etc and decided I wanted to keep that house so I could be close to my children. I got an email from DHA last week asking to contact them as they had received my new posting order. I rang them straight back and told them that I wanted to keep the house I had locked in and the person I talked to had no issue with that. I was to keep that house. This week I received another email about the new posting order from DHA asking me to contact them. I have been very busy so I replied by email that I had already sorted this issue. I was away yesterday and today I get an email saying my welcome visit where you sign for the keys has been cancelled. Thinking the worst I checked my DHA online access and guess what? The house is gone. I am now facing a move in a few weeks with no idea where I will be living. Two kids which I have half the time and two dogs. Fun times ahead. I have had an awful day. I did an exam this morning and then I get this news. Bleet over.
