Wondering if there is anyone out there with a ute or trailer who could pick up possibly a couple of boxes from the current round of auctions at Minto and deliver to an e-go depot at Villawood or Taren Point on Mon/Tues 23/24 Nov. Possibly a gearbox and a 6x6 front axle. Can contribute by way of fuel or cash. Any assistance appreciated. Will need an email address for me to email the connote through to you. Being an auction I won't be able to confirm until the auction finish. Thanks.

Brian, If you hard up for a hand, the little brother lives in the next suburb. BUT wont be able to confirm that he is available for the Tuesday until closer to the date. Monday will be out. Not sure if he has a trailer to carry stuff so this might all be a waste of breath

Brian, is Minto the only disposal site for all of Oz. I thought the Queensland stuff might be sold through Brisbane.
I am not familiar with how it works so will give the info number a ring tomorrow. How much time do we have after the auction to pick the stuff up. I was thinking of towing a trailer down over a couple of days if I won something.

Thanks Keith, collection is Mon 23rd and Tue 24th. So far they are selling all parts through Sydney - pity we can't get some in Brisbane. Would you have any room for a gearbox and front axle if you are going to take a trailer down there. I could probably do a trip to your place and collect them if you can.

Just a bit of a bump along as auction date is getting close. I probably should have worded the title a bit better - what I actually mean is from the Minto auction site to e-go transport depot at either Villawood or Taren Point in Sydney. Maybe someone who intends getting something themself may have room to pick my bits up and drop at the transport depot on the way home. Hopefully thanks in anticipation.

Brian, I had this issue one auction back. I used a courier service called 'Precision Logistics' in Minto - they picked up and stored the items I bought (gearbox & radiator) for fifty bucks. The boss there knows the deal with AFM. Their depot is literally a stones throw from the Minto AFM site. You will need to email the auction win docs and an image of your licence and permission slip (AFM demand this anyway of anyone picking up items- they are strict and unyielding, but communicative enough). I'd offer to help myself but it's 270km up the road and my employer (the Fed Government) hates me taking random days off.
Prec Logistics number is 02 4625 9980. They can also take the item(s) to your depot point at Villawood or Taren Point. Not that far by distance.
Um, I just checked the auction listings that I saved..... I would insure just in case. Just sayin.

Heading south to Minto Sunday night, trailer in tow. Just fitted it with new 14 ply tyres to carry the stuff.
Have to pickup Monday or Tuesday.
Wife heard on the wireless there is a big bush fire at Minto.
Any updates?

All warehouses and industrial surrounded by residential at Minto pickup location Keith so no worries re bush fires there.
Would advise avoiding Cumberland Hwy (Pennant Hills Rd) between 7am and 10am plus 4 to 6pm, traffic can be a bit stop/go at those times.
BTW, that free campsite &/or coffee shop is still available if you need it.
Have a safe trip.
