Anybody used their Kinchrome 6T jack yet??????
If not it would pay you to use it and find out if it leaks.
Used mine yesterday to jack the campertrailer up and adjust the breaks.Just spotted it in the shed, its sitting in a pool of oil:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
I had pushed the ram all the way home and locked off the unlock valve. The oil is either leaking from the thread on the lock valve or under the plastic cap that covers the filler.

Andrew, others might correct me but it seems we L322 owners need the same thing. We have, it seems, the same crappy jack and mounting pad.
I wonder if there's an hydraulic jack in the spare P38A

If I recall,a L322 owner put their hand up for one.Cancelled at order time as the L322 jack was different to the D3/D4.
IF you find out otherwise let me know,I have 11 on a list if we do a re-run,probably need 50.If it does happen it wont be for some time,my boy is FIFO to a minesite for the uni xmas break. He got to flick the switch on a 10000kg blast the other day:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

I'll take some pics of my jack and the mounting pads.
I saw on FullFatRR forum that the L322 has the same jack collapse problem. I saw a thread stating it is the same jack as used on the D3.

I was me who cancelled when I saw the shape. My RRV jacking point doesn't have hole for a locating pin on a jack. You would think a similar vehicle made at the same time would have an identical jacking set up, but not LR.

Andy,
Does the top screw screw into the head of the jack?

Andy,

John
John,it fits loosely.Look on the side of the adaptor, you will see a grub screw, that gets tightened to hold the adaptor in place. Its not needed, just stops it falling off whilst positioning the jack.

Andrew,
This would be nice made up for a trolley jack.

Can show my boy when its time.I guess its just a mater of adding an extra locating ring and tig welding it to the other style adaptor.
It may help us get a few more numbers when time comes.

I wouldn't think it would matter. More surface area is better; but there's not much in it.

We went thru this last time Weeds.Nobody will be making a production run forming them on a lathe, the thing would cost more than the jack!!!!
Laser cutting the last ones worked out well, ask anybody who bought one.

Er not sure what you are I about????
Can I not post in this thread??
Don't think I asked you to do anything in the last couple of posts......
I'm just asking a couple of questions.......
But now that you have stuck your nose in I was going to get one adaptor machined up for a trolley jack......at no cost....for Bradmc to try out.
Oh it was only a suggestion to machine them at the start of the thread, how they were produced was not my call as you were making them.......I get things machined every other week for work that cost thousands of dollars and can normally slip a foreign order in from time to time.
So there you go, I was going to use a favor I earn by my spend at an engineering firm for a total random member that I have never met.
Sorry for jumping into your thread......I shall bow out and leave it to you.

Oh gotta love the members that thanks your post.....I assume they agree with you that no one will be machining any.
Oh well, let's hope they don't own trolley jacks eh!!

The trolley jack design offered up by Bradmc would be in the realms of $15 for 50mm round bar stock in A2 tool steel. Way overkill for purpose...
Even on my 'poxy baby lathe I couldn't see turning those dims to take more than 15-20 minutes per unit.
But to be honest if it were my problem I would turn it out of acetal, would take probably take 5 minutes to machine per unit and material would be about $5.
Acetal is great in compression would be nice to the chassis rails and would last as long as the chassis rails of a D3/4.
Just my thoughts...

Yeah tried to work out how it would be laser cut and tig welded together for the trolley Jack design.....plus there is a taper which means it needs to go in a lathe.
I might get a price for 20 just for ****s and giggles......basic programming I'm sure the CNC will punch them out in no time.

You may want to look at the diamer of the bit that fits on the Jack.
Many of us have the omega 2t Jack bts2000 where the diameter of the saddle was around 32mm which did not fit the adapters Andrew got done. Easily fixed with a lathe if you have one or access to one. Please note that the stated saddle diameter on the omega web sites is wrong, it specified 27.5 from memory.
