Hi all - got a general question as a new owner. Have installed LR HD front springs after putting a bullbar/winch combo on. Was definitely the right move as it had dropped after the bar was installed and the HD springs bring it back up to just above where it was as standard and it feels right again on the road.
After a trip away this week where I had a bit of gear in the back, I was surprised at how much rear sag the truck had (110) in the rear. It wasn't a huge amount of weight, so I figure the standard springs are fairly soft.
Has anyone out there gone for a heavier duty LR rear spring set? The truck's new, so I don't want to ruin my warranty by going non genuine as yet. I tend to leave my recovery gear and tools in the vehicle at all times and with a drawer set and wheel carrier that's a reasonable amount of "constant weight" before adding camping gear, food and beverages for a few days away.
Would appreciate any feedback from anyone who has gone with a genuine LR HD spring set in the rear.

Never had a problem with the standard springs, and tend the be fairly heavy on our trips (water extra fuel etc).
For the last trip Centreing the Simpson (http://tinyurl.com/ogv3a4h)
I put a set of airbags (http://www.airbagman.com.au/find/air-bag-suspension-for-110-wagon-90-to-15/cid-999800076) in so when unladen there wasn't the penalty of stiff suspension.

You might find the HD rear springs too stiff for your everyday around town driving, when your not fully loaded.

I haven't experienced HD springs in a 110 before, but the ride in my old 130 dual cab, without a load in the back, was pretty horrific. However 90% of the time it was either loaded with truck and forklift spare parts, or loaded for a trip away.

So unless your fully loaded a high percentage of the time, I would go with Martyn's suggestion of airbag helpers in the rear. That way you have the best of both worlds. Not sure how it would work with your warranty though, as I've never had a new vehicle.

My current 110, is set up very similar to yours, judging by your fine looking pictures on another thread. The only difference is I have a 120 ltr fuel tank.
Currently it's on standard suspension, which seems to be fine, but it will be getting HD springs in the front and airbag helpers in the rear, when funds allow.

Out of interest how much do you reckon the HD springs lifted the front of your 110?
Just interested because the Puma is sensitive to being lifted, even by a little. The lift may make the front prop bind even with the weight of a winch bar and winch. It's one of the reason's I've been delaying this mod, whilst I research further.

With the weight of the bar and winch (which is cable not rope) the HD springs lifted the front about 10mm above standard. Took advice prior to doing it from this forum and from the dealer. No issues experienced and it's had a real good workout. This is in line with other users experience. I was very conscious of the front prop shaft issue, and am happy with the result I got.
I haven't used airbags before....looks like something new for me to research. Thanks for the advice.

Is it right the standard 110 springs are 175 pounds/inch in the front and the rears are 300 while the HD fronts are 225 and the same as the standard fronts on a 130?
My standard fronts are sitting about 20mm lower than the standard rears. I have an ARB bullbar and Ironman winch.
I'm interested in whether the HD fronts would lift it back to standard height.

land rover spring specifications (http://www.red90.ca/rovers/springinfo.html#OEM)

The HD springs will probably bring the front back to standard or just above.

It's something I will be doing in the near future, once my wife has stopped spending up big time at the silly season sales :(.
