I just came back from 7 weeks OS - three of them in Sicily. The coffee there was magnificent.

Cappuccino in the morning
Espresso for the rest of the day mostly in the stand up cafes

My tip - save your pennies and get over there. They even drive Defenders. We spotted them all over the place. Mostly 90s but the 110 at the top of Mt Etna was cool

HAHAHA.
I was chasing my roots back to my father and mother's birthplaces in Sicily on my way to see the 1/4 finals of the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham.

As for the coffee. It was magnificent. I love the lifestyle where you go to the servo and attached to it is a little cafe where you order "uno espresso per favour" and they give you this little cup of liquid gold which you have with a little biscotti and a complimentary glass of filtered water standing up at the counter. The whole transaction takes about 2 minutes then it is off to the next wonderful place.

If you get he chance do a tour a Sicily. Compared to mainland Italy is is much quieter and is busting with history and culture and food and food and food.

My relos tried to kill me with food. Judging by my inability to get into any of my clothes when I returned home shows they nearly succeeded
