If you are towing a box trailer, is it covered by your car insurance? I have an early model cub camper, unbraked. I do not need to have rego inspections on it because it is classified as a trailer. Am I correct in thinking that whilst I am towing it the car insurance covers it? Jim

I discussed this with YOUI and was told that trailers up to 400 kg were covered under their car comprehensive cover to $ 1000.

I have my camper trailer comprehensively insured.
