GDay!
This is my first post on a blog, anywhere. I'm not big on typing either....
I bought a 2010 110 a few months back with 70k ams on it in great nick in and out.
Then, a week or so back i watched it get pummelled by hail from my lounge room window. The insurance assessors looked at it this morning and told me it needs a new roof and possibly guards too but they would rather not fix it as its a bit of a specialist job.
Anyone know who could do the job for me? I live on the Central Coast NSW so Sydneys an option.

Also, I'm setting of on a round Oz trip with my wife and 3 kids next year (for the year) starting in January. I will be towing a pop top caravan (Jayco, around 2t loaded) most of the time and we'll camp out wherever the van won't follow. My deefer is stock mechanically with just a few bolt on mods (BBar, rock sliders, brush bars, roof racks and tow bar.
I'm going to fit diff, sump & steering guards & wading breathers, LR tanks, internal water tank, another battery w management system, a soft solar panel, an overhead console, CB, USB ports, rear bumper w spare wheel & j can holder, roof rack & ladder, winch (ill fit the super cheap auto 10k pound one that was doing the job on my hilux) the fridge and possibly a lift up side window in the back. Any additional suggestions welcome...
Does anyone have input on radiator, intercooler and oil cooling? A bloke in a 4wd shop was strongly suggesting i would need to upgrade these (along with axles, flanges, engine re map) I'm concerned about the budget!!

I have used this place a long time ago,

The Original Dentbuster - Paintless Dent Removal Sydney (http://www.dentbuster.com.au/)

I had a nasty dent in the roof of a car and even though the metal had been stretched, they somehow removed it and you couldn't tell it had been damaged.

I'm not sure how bad your car is but it might be worth maybe sending them a couple of clear photos and asking them a price.

I'll go there again if I get a dent in my Defender.

Could always leave it as is, might even improve airodynamics similar to the dimples in a golf ball could save you some fuel moneys :p
Also not sure the paintless dent removal would work on a defender being alloy panels you will find the metal would have stretched

They are LR, Jag, Ferrari etc. luxury car specialist.

They did all the resealing of my last Defender, completely stripped the interior and sealed up every joint.

"Resealing Your Defender"?...Good to find someone that could do that. But, without knowing that person, I'd always be worried about the quality of the job, and that everything was put back correctly.
Glad you got the right person.

Thanks Aguy & Babs, i'll look them up and make enquiries. Sounds expensive Babs?

Thanks patchy, looks as though it works too.

In all seriousness though, I'm trying to convince my wife we could just take a cash settlement from the insurance co and spend it on kit for the truck! Wing top & bonnet protectors will cover a multitude of sins up front and the roof rack will sort the rest....

Pickles, I was more than happy with the job they did, all the rivets etc supplied by Landrover panels repainted , sealed up with some sort of flexible sealant that was specified, not just the foam strip that LR puts on. This was sealed up properly. All under Warranty.
