2B Axle reinforcement

2B 505 suffix E has this bracing on front and rear axles.
I have not seen this mentioned before so suspect its home fitted but looks well done.
Any ideas?
As its fairly late build I was wondering if the later models had this.

Mine has Gussets but not the diff pan guard like in your photo.

Mine is also a late build.

the front diff you show has had home made mod to reinforce the centre, that dome is thin and dents easily, the gussets shown under the axle housings front and rear are factory standard.
