Actually, I have just started reading Mark Donaldson,s book called "The Crossroad" now. Seems he was born in Newcastle and his father was a Vietnam vet who died when Mark was young and his mother mysteriously disappeared, feared murdered so he (Mark) didn't have a great start in life.

ps. Read a bit more of the book, boy, was Mark a wild boy in his youth.
