HI just an up date Brendon has got excepted to Kansai uni next year.
We have got his ticket leaving 19th 12.55.am. So a very late night for us dropping him at the airport on the 18th for the flight.
We have also got is insurance for the whole year with on cover as we are a member we go 10% discount. $836 for the year, cover everything
They email Brendon on Saturday asking if he could get a HIV test as when we supplied them with is medical report and that was one of the question and we said no never had one. So fine a medical clinic open on Sunday to take blood. So now we have to wait for a letter from the Uni to take to the Japanese embassy in Melbourne to get his visa. These kids have so much more opportunity then in our days.
So it looks like Mario and I will be going over some time in June 2016, that's when they break up for the 1/2 year, and have 8 weeks off. Brendon will be our tour guild and then come back with us. He will go back again in August. 47 days before I lose another son:( Heather
(Ps if you guys need stuff make sure it is before June 2016 LOL)

Yep Heather they grow up too quickly.

My daughter has just finished y12 and she will be going to Japan solo for a month in January next year. Thankfully for a lot of the time she will be staying with various exchange students from her local high school, but it feels strange having them fly out into the big wide world themselves.

Cheers

Steve

Totally agree, Brendon will turn 20 March. He did do a school exchange when he was in Year 11 and has been back last year for 2 weeks with a friend, and they seem to get around alright. He does know some people over there when they came over to Aust for an exchange. He is pretty street smart and wouldn't get in to trouble. But he is my baby and you do worry about them. So I am proud of him that he is doing this to get the job he wants. (Teach English in Japan) I am sure I am going to be a mess when we take him to the airport.:( Heather
