Looking particularly in Brisbane/Gold Coast areas.
What is your favourite class?
Don't mind including any other interested persons in discussion.
I have an agenda though , namely the proposed new Speedway Motorplex venue in SE Qld at Loves Rd , Alberton.

As a certified rev head I like all things motorsport (except F1, never really got into that). As an adult I enjoy sprintcars the most, but as a kid I loved the super sedans for some reason. Unfortunately I haven't been for years for a couple of reasons - 1) having young kids - going to the speedway means its well past bed time for them considering I have around an hour drive home thrown in for good measure, and 2) Kwinana motorplex is bloody expensive - needs to be cheaper for the fans to go more often

Did some time in super sedans/grand nationals in the early 80's in the NT and my dad played with TQ's in the late 50's early 60s in Vic. Always had a interest in speedcars but anything Without wings is fine.

I'm no use, only Bikes and Sidecars for me, love the days of Jeriderie Park, Sydney Showground, Liverpool, Heddon Greta, the Ashes, World Champs, or just the Saturday nights with all the greats, Airey, Crump and that bloody Kiwi bloke who rode OK:p

Shane what does it cost to get in Kwinana?
$25 general admission at archerfield
If the new complex goes ahead John Kelly has said he will do all he can to maintain same admission

Baz , if this complex goes ahead it will host solos and outfits at national and international levels.
The Brisbane Exhibition hosted the internationals for many years and it was awesome to watch there. Crowds 13,000 attended the majors then.
I think rotten (to the core) promoters brought that an end.
You may be able to see why I'm trying to get support for this new venue.

Just had a look for the most likely expensive - world series sprinters (and the drags are the same for the doorslammers & top fuellers when they are here). Some of the smaller events are a bit cheaper and every now and again they do kids entry for free.

I used to go to Westmead speedway regularly when I was pre-teen as my cousins raced and I got in free and could go around the pits. I went again in my 40s but with my young son (to Parramatta Speedway) and found it quite boring so I haven't been back.

I'm thinking it might be time to do the Eater Trail again.
It's been almost 5 years from the last time I did the circuit.
Many years ago I spanerd for a mate who raced a Mini Sprinter.
