Just replaced the rear A frame ball joint with a new one(lemforder).
The clunking had been getting worse and I'd been putting it off til the Chrissy break. Replaced all the bushes with new superpro ones whilst at it.
Observations and points of interest
-Pain in the arse to get the old ones out, drilled rubber then cut sleeve and belted outer sleeve out. Had a big press but could get it to work.
- impact driver with 1/2 inch socket adapter was a massive time saver.
-had to cut the ball joint nut off with a grinder, too rusted
-used threaded rod and big washers to put the new cotton reel style bushes in, vice didn't work
- drives so much smoother...why didn't I do it sooner.
- realised my axle flanges are not worn like I had thought, all the clunk has gone and no driveline slap
