A fella at work does a lot of great work with an organisation called Big Umbrella.

They support and look after homeless youth in Melbourne.

The kids really appreciate something to keep the weather off.

I have donated 2 and they have been very welcome

If you have an old swag that you would like to donate please contact me.

I work in Moorabbin and live in Eltham.

True that!
Let it be on the record that there was that fateful night where one too many bevvies were consumed after a most bodacious meal of curried sausages...
The swag never smelled the same again :o

It might be worth the organisation making contact with caravan parks and/or hostels near the airport. We recently stayed at a caravan park near Perth airport and I bought a near new tent and sleeping bag for next to nothing off a nice German guy, who was about to catch a flight back home. Another German guy nearby ditched his tent into the bin. I am sure they would be happy for their gear to go to a good cause if there was a mechanism to make it happen?

Cheers
Chris

I dont understand why we would be encouraging them by giving them swags, getting them off thd street would be better.

Hi Pete,

I know this is an old post, but are you still chasing some swags for this purpose?

Can you please have a look at the following link to see if these Dome Swags are suitable for what you want? I'm worried they might be too big and heavy for what you are after?

Thanks Brett.
