I'm about to wreck a 1995 V8 Disco. I know the engine in it is not the original.
Can anyone help identify?
It's a 1995MY MA chassis car.
The engine has 3.9 on the plenum and a serpentine belt drive.
It's got hotwire fuel injection.
The engine number is 22DxxxxxD. The 22D part suggests to me 3.5 EFI 1990ish. I've never seen the suffix D at the end of an RV8 engine number before.
There's an emission tag on the rocker cover that says 1991.
I'll take some pics and throw them up.
I'm guessing someone has built this engine up from the original 95 engine and an earlier donor engine from a 90/91 D1.
