I am pretty certain drums are the same all the way up to the end of Series 2a, so should be readily available from any of the regular Landrover suppliers. Other brake parts may not be so easy, and unless determined on a precise restoration, changing the wheel brake assemblies to Series 2a specs is probably worth doing - bolt on job except an adapter will be needed for the pipe thread.

I also think Series 3 88" are the same as well, but if it (the 1949 model) has 1/4" diameter brake lines it will involve making a whole new set of brake fluid lines, cheers Dennis

Series 3 has 16mm studs, Series 1,2,2a have 9/16". While you can put the S3 drums on the earlier hubs, it is not good practice, as the studs take braking loads, and the holes should fit.
S2a drums are available last time I checked.
