Ok, so first off thanks to all those with more knowledge than I who imparted of it for my benefit. Big thanks there.

I went through the advised actions and did a bit more research. I made a video which is on youtube or you can see the link here

https://youtu.be/Dyey9RO6kxg

As mentioned before I had all new HD drive flanges front and rear installed by M.R Auto they converted me to oiled bearings setup and also put in a new afram ball joint, HD track rod and HD drag link too. So im confident there. Also had all new superpro's that i put in as well.

Seems the noise im hearing is rear prop, I havent ever changed one before ( i have done uni's before with my old dad on early holdens etc ) so it looks like there are a few areas between the transfer and rear diff for slack. output flange? uni's and prop its self,

Im not sure how much play or banging is normal I only know its gotten a bunch louder quite recently after the work was done.

If possible Im hoping to get some more advice after viewing the video. Cheers guys. As always the forum is my best resource.

Have you got much diff whine in the rear. How much movement is there between crown and pinion. Disconnect rear prop at a flange. That should tell you which way it is. Perhaps even the spider gears in your diff or center diff might be suspect.

Yeah I haven't got whine at all really, not loud enough to hear anyway.. It feels like the slap is at the rear mostly and sounds mostly at the rear end of the prop - occasionally I can hear the front of the rear shaft too.. I'll order new uni' sand while I pry everything down I'll change them out. It's cheap insurance after all. What else is a cheap and easy fix? I saw that output shaft kits are like $20 on LR Direct... Is it a big job? Do I need to do any bearings etc at the same time? How far down the rabbit hole do I go with it? If I do the rear I guess I should do the front too.. Xmas break is gonna be over fast this year.
