Now that I don't answer the phone round tea time , Spam emails seem have taken over .

Starting about 2 months ago I now get emails from persons I have never heard of with all sorts of offers along with a host of big brand stores in Oz , always got the odd one but now its every day , never open any of these but i will probably change my email address if they continue , I suppose this is the result of people not deleting peoples addresses when they forward emails .

I do like my computer but it is getting to the stage with continual cost of update and software changes and invasion of privacy I am getting to the stage where i feel like chucking it in the ocean and go fishing , Must be getting old . Rant over.

If they are from a big brand store,, you should be able to cancel them,,

If you use Outlook, you can block further spam mail. Other programmes may have similar features.

Many spam emails from shops etc do have an "unsubscribe" button, that seems to work in most cases. Reporting them to your email client as "spam" is less successful as enough people clearly like reading them.;)

I stopped unsubscribing as I now don't want to open anymore as I don't know if they are gen or not , recently got an email from outlook saying I needed an update as it will not work in a couple of weeks did the update and I think it may have been a mistake so have now restored pc to a before date will see what happens . . The hackers are winning .

With gmail the program seems to do a good job of recognising spam & putting it in a seperate folder marked "Spam". All you have to do is check through this folder to make sure no genuine emails have been loaded by error, then highlight all & delete for ever. You can also mark any suspicious emails in your inbox as spam & you won't receive them again.
