Lou;

I use Helicon Focus for Both landscape and macro photography.

Helicon Focus - Helicon Soft (http://www.heliconsoft.com/heliconsoft-products/helicon-focus/)

Koz do you use it with lightroom?

can you stack the images and then send them back to lightroom for final touches?

I guess you cant output back to light room as a raw image...

is there any noticeable loss in quality (sharpness) when sending back or outputting.

Sorry for all the questions cant find my answers on their website

Absolutely , I make the initial adjustment to the Raw files in LR and Sync them together in LR , Export them to a Folder as TIFF , Stack them in Helicon Focus and Save the End file as either a Tiff which I can then make any further adjustments in LR or Photoshop or export as Jpeg for web publishing.

OK so I downloaded a trial of the Helicon and thought being as though its a hot day will have a try as I have never attempted to stack ever before.

I didn't really have much to photograph here in the house so I had a go at some water droplets with my macro..

I think it sort of worked???

I'm sure the image could be a little sharper but am I on the right tracks Koz??

there was more to the image I just cropped it down because there was to much space in the image.

Kind of a moon scape :D

11 but as i chopped some of the bubbles out further back i probably could have gotten this same shot with maybe 7 or 8 at a guess

I would love to see of i could get a stack of an insect. Would probably have to be a dead one though so it stays still long enough for me to faff around hahahha
