Hi all, i need some help to help a friend, it's about a 2005 Td4 with the suplimentary pump behind the rear wheelarch, according to microcat only the WQB000020 pump would fit which is friggin expensive, anyone tried to fit a cheaper WFX500070 or WFX000200 instead? or at least can anyone enlight me what's the difference between them, the electric connector or what? , i'm confused

What is wrong with it. I was under the belief that the WQB000020 did not have a pump fitted. I just checked on lrparts.ru and the description is sender with no pump

Hi, thanks for looking, it's a whole mess around this ''sender unit'' cos on many sites is named ''pump'' and being so expensive it was hard for me to believe that it's only an empty shell with a float ... which it seems it is though i think it might have some no return system in it to keep the main pump primed ?
fir example LAND ROVER FUEL PUMP & FILTER FREELANDER M47 2.0L DIESEL WQB000020 ALLMAKES4x4 | Miami British Corp. (http://miamibritish.com/shop/land-rover-fuel-pump-filter-freelander-m47-2-0l-diesel-wqb000020-allmakes4x4/)

If your only after the gauge sender off it you could possibly use a L series unit and swap the sender on the unit. They are also called a pump but they do not have a pump in the tank unit. Part number WFX100980

Thanks for that... after serious research i figured it out too, not an inspired thing made by L.R. IMO
