Hi all
This may be a stupid question but what is the difference between a HSE and a Vogue?
I'm thinking of getting a P38 and was looking at a HSE but have found a Vogue and can't really see a difference other than a bit of extra woodgrain and a navigation system.
What else am I missing?
Thanks
Todd

You pretty much nailed it but other things are... body colour co-ordinated mirrors and bumper skirts, colour strips down the centre of the door bump strips, sub woofer and an upgraded entertainment system (although it is hard to tell the difference from the HSE), probably a wood and leather steering wheel, rear seat 'TV' screens and possibly a different road wheel style from the standard HSE.
Had a good mate that had a Vogue, against my HSE they were the differences as best we could tell...NOTHING mechanically different.
His did have a paint finish somewhat better than mine but I believe it was an after market thing.
Enjoy your purchase whatever you get, they can be a bag of nightmares but are an absolute joy to drive.

I was under the impression that Vogues didn't come to Aus in the P38.
HSE's already have two subwoofers, the '01 and '02 were optioned with sat nav, the optional HSE 18" wheels were always an option too!
If we did get a vogue, I think it would have been limited to painted bumpers and mirrors and wood.

G'Day Keith. The sub woofer I referred to was mounted in the rear and was 'above an beyond' the equipment in my HSE. It also came standard with the TV and the other things....I did forget to mention the sat nav.
His Vogue was essentially the same year as my HSE except my build date was Dec 2001 and his was much earlier in the year.
Now whether it was bought in from the UK I don't know, he picked it up in Victoria (private sale) back in 2006. From the history of the vehicle (Vic registration guys) the vehicle had had an engine replacement but there was no mention of whether it had been imported as a one off.
So you may be right...all I can say with certainty was that it was a P38 Vogue.....and very nice to drive.
Cheers Bob

Thanks for the response guys.
I had another look at the photos and the steer wheel has wood. The mirrors were also body coloured. Was the tv roof mounted? Cant see it in any of the pics.
Cheers

That should have read - "Yes to mirrors and No to bumper skirts".
Part of my reply did not carry over when pasted from Word. [My error.]

No worries.
Had me wandering what they were.
