View Full Version : Question about using the spare spaces in a Puma's fuse block.

Hello wise forum.

I have a bunch of extra accessories in my Puma Defender and all the extra wires and fuses behind the dash is getting a bit messy.

I'd like to use the empty spaces in the main fuse block located beneath the steering wheel to make accessing the fuses easier and I'll tidy up the wires while I'm at it.

Does anyone know what is involved in getting behind this fuse block? Is it a massive job or is it relatively easy?

It would be easy as to get to, but getting the spare parts for it might be a challenge. Might be best to source the fuse block from a wreckers to get the wired modules, or else get an auto sparky to wire in. Most of the spare spaces are blank and need to be wired.

When you say "wired modules", do you mean the metal sockets (?) that hold the blade fuses in place? Sorry if my terminology is a bit off.

Have a look over my build thread, there is a few pics of the fuse block in it.
The fuse block is made up of slide together locking modules. The 'spare' modules don't have the female pins in them to allow connection of a fuse or relay.

Thanks mate, you've been a great help.
