There's a nice write up in the latest Low Range e-Mag of a largely home built overland / expedition 200tdi Defender. I'm sure that someone on the forum posted a picture of this vehicle driving down a beach a while back too. Anyway, I think it's pretty neat, although I'd be interested to know how much it weighs..

I get frustrated when everything was done to "look" the part. Can't it just be done because that's what is needed? Interesting rig though. I bet that perspex roof over the bed would rule out daytime naps ; )
