Wifey & I had a spare couple of days, so thought We'd drive to Omeo!
What a tremendous location, the Great Alpine Rd really is something special. Visited a few spots, Cassilis, Benambra, Anglers Rest (Blue Duck Inn), but the highlight was dinner in the Golden Age Hote,...a great feed, and actually met a couple of Defender owners from the forum,....can't remember their names though!
Came back via Lindenow Heyfield etc,....temperatore was around 39C, and Gracie's A/C was working OK!!
I reckon Omeo is a great destination, heaps of history there.
A great couple of days, Pickles.

Hi I was born in Heyfield bush nursing hospital many years ago. My dad and one of my brothers work at the timber yards there. Heather;)

HAHAHA,,,,I had to read the thread just to make sure.

I live in Ormeau and many people call it Omeo.

I thought for a minute you may have been on your way up here Pickles.

Happy New Year to you all.

Yeah, great country up there. :)

Used to live down that way - I'm starting to think I wouldn't mind moving back down that way for a tree change.
