Whats the general consensus on series 3 injector servicing. Should I get them refurbished or should I buy new britpart ones

I am thinking that refurbing the original CAV injectors would be the best

Can anyone recommend anywhere in adelaide or surrounding areas that can do this and what $$$ should I expect to pay.

Cheers

I refurbed mine myself. I made an injector tester out of a bottle jack an old injector line a fitting and a pressure gauge. I hooked up a plastic reservoir for the diesel. I tested spray patters and crack pressure and checked for leakage. I stripped the injectors apart and cleaned the parts and put them back together and retested them there was a huge improvement. I cleaned mine in petrol the first wash the petrol was black then I did a couple of washes until all the parts were spotless. Takes about half an hour.

I just had a google, testers are not worth making anymore they are cheap enough to buy.

if you're going to do it regulary invest in the gear and do it yourself.

if you're not just replace the injectors its cheaper than paying someone to do it and is beginning to become a dying art.
