Mine is gas/petrol. Sequential gas to be precise!

If you're after fuel figures, keeping in mind I've always got 350kg on board, it gets 20L/100km on gas, doesn't care if I drive hard, soft, highway or suburbia, 20L/100km all the time. Mine is a high compression 4.6 too.

Petrol is sitting around the 16L/100km, 95 octane, suburbia. Loaded up it averages 14L/100km on highway runs. Not sure what it gets without a load.

Works out cheaper $/km to run on gas when fuel prices are up. At current fuel prices it's still cheaper to use gas, but not by a lot.

Cheers

Bugger!

No biggie. Personally, I'd put a rear swing away carrier on for the spare, and have a custom tank made to fit in the wheel well for petrol. The added wiring and fuel lines certainly clog up the engine bay and make it a pain to work on. I think an extra 50L of petrol would be better, even if it costs a bit more to do the same k's.

Cheers

Hi,
I have a "donut" tank mounted vertical in the rear of my 95 classic. I have my spare on the rear bar. I have seen this same tank mounted flat in the wheel well of a P38. Work done by Graeme Coopers in Sydney.
Cheers.

That's the same tank I have. Holds about 75 litres. Mine was fitted by Graeme Coopers too!
