Are the door tops on the Perentie different to the civvy?

Mine have the glass in a mobile extruded channel that runs on a rail rather than the glass directly in a bailey channel

They are the different from the series type door tops

The door tops are specific to the Perentie and to Wolf Land Rovers in the UK. (The civvy vehicles in the 110 era had wind up door windows)

The parts are (should be) available from Land Rover. The sidescreen felts are definitely.

The alloy runners are MTC6209 for the LHS and MTC6208 RHS

Actually, I think they are the same as very early coil spring civilian 110s, but they were superseded in civilian use by wind up windows very early in production.

So the answer to the question is - yes they are the same, but this does not help, seeing virtually all civilian ones have wind up windows!

No I feel that you are mistaken on this one. The very early coil sprung Land Rovers, some call them the Stage II, had exactly the same door tops as the Series III. You can see them on this 6X6 prototype.

The Perentie/Wolf door tops have an aluminium frame and sloped glass at the overlap.

The early coil sprung 110 "counties" had similar looking door tops in the photos i've seen- diagonal glass rather than series straight.

There are also ones that the Americans have as "NAS"

My impression is that you are correct, certainly as far as prototypes such as the one pictured, which has an entirely S3 body as far as can be seen, but in fact they changed to the ones with the diagonal glass before going to windup windows (or more likely the windup windows were initially an option. Which raises another question - were coil spring soft tops ever sold to civilians? I know they were not in Australia (at least I think I know!). And if so, what door tops did they have?
