Nexan Roadian 542

Has anybody tried the Nexan brand of tyres?

I have been told a few good things but would like some real life reviews if possible.

Looking at the Roadian 542 and the HTX
255/65R18

PRices are bloody good. $189 fitted and balanced etc.

Put them on mine today after a lot of investigating.

No I haven't. I seem to recall somebody saying they were no good in wet?

Not sure about 'no good in the wet'. All of the reports say that they are good in the wet. One report I read mentioned that they are not real good in thick snow.
They were $330.00 each.


Would have to be the quietest SUV tyre that I have driven on......

Yeah if you have to pay for a rotation and balance every 10000kms from the original point of purchase...

AND if you are a country resident the warranty is void.

Don't you do that anyway?? I know I do.
Have always bought tyres from the same place and they include a free rotation / balance every 10K for the life of the tyre.

What size Craig? and where from - I've been looking at the same to go on my 20" but the OEM size is not available in AUS.

I think SWMBO had the Roadian brand tyres on her Delica a couple of years ago. I think she bought it with them.


They were OK but wore reasonably quickly & slipped a bit in the wet.


She put Maxxi's on it which she reckons fell a lot better & she is more confident in them.

On my second set of Nexan Roadian's on the L322. Mine are 20" versions. 1st lot were on the car when I bought it with around 70% tread on them. We put around 50,000 on them before they were unroadworthy. We replaced them with the same as we had no issues with them - they seem fine in the wet or dry, but remember an L322 is hardly a sports car so something that handles better may provide different results.

Under $1000 for all 4 fitted and balanced - half the price of anything else I could find at the time. They are good value for money IMO.
