Don't care! I'll be going to see it regardless of reviews. And I'll probably buy the DVD when that's released.
I've got the original series on DVD, the telemovie and the motion picture film.
Loved it as a boy.
Can't wait.

Can't wait. Watching the TV series at my grandmother's house was almost an institution in our family. My dad's childhood was on a farm in the UK during WWII and they had a prisoner of war camp and then later a US Army base on their land. There was always a lot of reminiscing after an episode.

There is certainly one thing in the film that the original lacked - Catherine Zeta Jones!

I managed to get hold of a copy just recently. A little research said that the Australian release was cancelled due to poor reviews in the UK and NZ.
When I heard this I was a bit annoyed as I had been really wanting to see it. I have been an loyal fan since I was very young.
Well as I said I got hold of a copy. And it was complete and utter.......it pains me to say, oh well, it was crap. So, so disappointing. It just wasn't funny. It didn't capture anything from the original series or films. I can't explain how it was so bad. It just was. And CZJ just couldn't carry the storyline.
However. If you liked the series as much as I did you most watch it yourself. As I could be wrong.

As a long time fan both of the TV and radio Series I to was disappointed by the movie. Saying that my daughter liked it as she has not watched the original. Each to his own. Baz

We did one of the episodes as a school play. We won the competition. I was the Verger.
