Just had a very frustrating week with the Rangie. First i lost #1 cylinder then the whole thing. After replacing most of the electrics, disrtibutor cap, rotor, leads etc i found that the amplifier module on the didtributor was gone. Now all fixed, except that it wont run good on gas. When the engine is cold its great, but once its warm it looses all power and misses big time. On petrol its great all the time.
Any help would be great.
Thanks

Check the rotor button again / dissy cap again.

Sounds like it out of tune? Does the amplifier have an affect on that?

Dave.

Hi Alex
LPG needs a very good spark,it will do the things you are complaining of if the spark is weak.Did you replace the sparkplugs????If so did you get LPG plugs???They are the same as the petrol ones but generally the next heatrange DOWN from standard.

If you had an aftermarket rotor put in - give it the flick - they don't work very well and not for very long - can cause weak spark at the plugs or no spark - genuine is the only way to go for this part.

Speaking from experience on this one.

thanks, i did put new plugs in, but only the standard ones, so might look at gas ones. Are they hotter than standard? And the rotor was from Repco, carnt remember the brand.
