Can any Melburnians recommend a mobile mechanic or someone who can install a long range tank for me?

Or, alternately, if replacing fuel tanks is something that mobile mechanics generally are equipped to do, how about a mechanic near the Maribrnong / Ascot Vale area?

Also, for future reference for servicing etc, any specialist Land Rovers mechanics in or around the area?

I did a quick search but didn't find anything too recent.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Did you ever get any response to this thread?
Do you have anyone you could recommend?

Cheers,

Greg

No but I have since used Ace Mobile Mechanics for a couple jobs (one quick Land Rover thing) and a look a the missus' Holden. They're not LR specialists but I don't have any complaints about them.

For future work if required, there are some good Indies in North Melbourne that do Land Rover and other European vehicle work - I’ll dig up some phone numbers.

I've only used Ace for when I needed someone to come to us.

For all my regular servicing, maintenance and repairs I use Pickards in Abbotsford (Pickards Automotive - Pickards Automotive - Car Service Centre | European Car Specilists (http://www.pickardsautomotive.com.au/)).

They're know they're way around Land Rovers and I've had no problems with them.
