I have just pensioned off the old D3 and am picking up a new 2016 D4 HSE next week. Can't wait - only 3 more sleeps :)
Then the fun starts trying to improve on all the mods I'd previously made - Traxide dual battery, ARB air compressor, GOE side steps and compressor guard, UHF, TPMS, ..... But I understand ARB still haven't released a bar that will fit the 2014 onwards.

Hey Andrew, i'm the one that was on the phone and just missed out on it!!
Figured you would have been on here, haha. I really hope that guy plans on doing some 4x4ing in your old beast or it will be such a waste..... Good luck with the new one!

Sounds like you get off-road so can I recommend as a minimum -
Rear wheel carrier (I've got a 'Front runner' on my D4)
Long range fuel tank once you've moved the spare wheel
McHitch rear tow-bar (Your OEM tow bar lives up to its nick-name 'the plough')
Definitely fit a bull-bar whether steel or alloy (My alloy EC Bullbar saved our bacon when we ran into a mob of roos after Xmas in western QLD - new 1 is on order and will be fitted this month along with some minor panel repairs)
These should be on every D4 owners compulsory accessory list 1st off. Then you can add radios, compressors, lights, additional guards, snorkel etc to suit your preference (And wallet)...
Enjoy your HSE experience :-)

Well done on the new baby! We'll have to catch up for a coffee again, and compare notes!

Probably because there isn't one good one; I'm just about to change to the Duratrac as the Coppers Zeons don't seem to have strong sidewall (3 failures in the High Country).

Probably because rim size restricts tyre choice
