One touch electric windows

Hi Forum followers,
I have a 2005 Discovery 3 and was wondering if there's a work around re making the rear passenger windows One Touch wind up wind down, from the drivers window winder switches. This Option was made available on Discovery 4's. Cheers

Welcome aboard.
Look in your book of words if you have it.There is a sequence to program the windows once the battery has been replaced.I cant recall exactly how long you hold the buttons for.Easy to do and the best way of checking if a D3 can be done.
Im sure somebody will post the sequence soon,its quite easy to do.

Power window all the way down.
Power window all the way up and release
Hold up again for 3 to 5 seconds and presto!

Repeat for all windows...

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware, an 05 is like my 06 D3.

Drivers is one touch but that is all.

This is the same consensus in the land from whence they came.

LandyAndy (thank you for your Forum welcome), ramba, Narranga and SBD4, thanks for info on One Touch window winder situation, it's much appreciated. My mechanic has said that my D3 has front passenger window One Touch winder but it may not be working, he is going to check it out via computer at next service. He also said that all windows One Touch only became an Option on D4's. I'll keep searching for a solution, it can't be to difficult, as winder system is changeable via computer. Cheers

Might be an issue in your regulator/electric mechanism Gravelbarreling.

Hi Guys Just checked my09 D3 and it has one touch driver and front passenger, rears dont have this ability. Mine also has the D4 rear bumper bar maybe their was a transition between the 3 and 4 at this stage.

Hi All,

I have a 2014 TDV6.
A bugbare I have is when turning off motor. I pull up on drivers window switch to close window but when I open the door the window stops. Can this be reprogrammed?

I hadnt noticed that John.Then again I have a habit of hitting lower suspension then shutting windows as Im about to park.
