An excellent description of Fort Bribie for the next time you are up there.

Bribie Island Indicator Loop Station WW2 (http://indicatorloops.com/fortbribie.htm)

Underground hospital, true, or not?

Thanks Bob, I REALLY enjoyed that. Never seen it in person, but I have visited the "Fort" on Magnetic Island.
Thanks, Pickles.

Inc you might me thinking of the gun emplacement which is still in the dunes. The nth light bunker in my pic has been on the beach for as long as I can remember.

Thanks for sharing, Bob. I will have to have a look around these fortifications next time I'm up your way.:D

Make sure it is not school holidays, and book a campsite on Ocean Beach. I like the ones furthest North , but you have to be completely self sufficient. If the wind isn't blowing a gale, you will catch fish.
