Had a bit of rain last night, 500 mm

I have been down to the bridge. The log bridge over the Ivule has badly eroded abutments and is currently impassable. The central container is loose and the whole structure will be lucky to last the day.

The 1st Bailey bridge over the Tiaru is currently under stress, and will be lucky to last the day if the rain continues.

Kerosin Wara bridge is also under pressure ? the water is brown and touching the bridge.

and now

ubAlert | Papua New Guinea | Earthquake - 5.0 - 62km SSE of Kokopo, Papua New Guinea

and

I think we have plenty of beer in stock, ;)

Major environmental audit for our sustainability certificate RSPO, pain in the butt

Every year they rebuild the bridges and every year they wash away, never build them high enough or enough overflow areas to divert the water. Got the fishing boat doing runs to bypass the affected area, 2 hours to do 30km as the sea is rough, cutting the grass on the run way to charter aircraft, hiring a 1500 tonne barge, 500,000 diesel litres in stock, a normal wet season.
