The Spit BBQ

Last Sunday saw the club venture to the Southport Spit for our new year BBQ. We had a good crowd enjoying the day. Luckily the rain stayed away for the day, although we were concerned early that the wind might be an issue. We found a nice mostly shady spot on the Broadwater to setup. A great selection of cars, and some bicycles, were on display for both the members and public to admire.

Thankyou to everyone who bought tickets in the raffle. We raised about $500 which will be donated to a worthy cause shortly.

We enjoyed the day and I didn't get stuck in the sand, but do thank Garry for the show he put on.
