Hi - Last year I bought my first LR. A 2010 Discovery 4. It has around 70k on the clock. I received a call from the garage I purchased it from reminding that the service was due. They quoted $1100. I knew that LR services were expensive but as the car is not in warranty I'm considering looking for a different garage to service the car.

Two questions:

1) does this price seem right for the age of the car/KM?
2) can anyone recommend a good LR specialist/garage in the upper north shore? I have heard that Pacific Motors in Pymble are good and they reference LR on their website.

Yes way too much for a 70k service, call Davis Performance Landys in Annangrove(Amaroo Park Raceway entrance)

But having said that, if it includes the Gearbox(recommended at those Ks) then yes it's fair.

I did some more research and after discussing their experience with Land Rovers, I used Pacific Motors in Pymble. They have experience with LR (in fact they have owned Discos). They serviced the car for much less than the dealership. Great customer service too, so I'd recommend them based upon my experience.
