Dunno if you've experienced this, but my D2 TD5 self-repairs.

Have had a few little issues over the years with small things not working, the kind of thing not worth taking to a mechanic: elec windows not working properly, dash lights not working, intermittent power loss, digital compass reads only one heading, transmission xyz switch. All have been resolved simply by waiting ... and after some time the car self-repairs and issue goes away.
(I do service regularly at British and Swedish - but I know these issues weren't touched).

Current problem is that sometimes car is completely dead when I get in to start. First few key turns give nothing. Get out, open and close back door, starts perfectly. Hoping this problem goes away soon.

Has anyone else's car repaired itself?

mmm does it have a polariser tucked away somewhere.

I wish my D2 self repaired.

I may have a fix for that, seeing during the life of my D2 it regularly happened.
I believe the trigger wire on the starter motor is dirty causing a high resistance.Unplug the trigger wire off the starter motor, clean the oil off it with some form of de-greaser,gently squeeze the crimp with pliers so its a tighter fit.Should be good for another 12 months until it gets oily again;);););)
