Im looking at putting some good recovery points on the front of the rangie.
I have a ARB bullbar with the usual "recovery Points", that are useless. Can i bolt some of those recovery hooks (4500kg) on to the bullbar and would that be strong enough??? I would like to mount them on the chassis but there is no easy way to attach them and no room because of the bullbar mounting.
What do you all use?

dunno, I had this discussion with an ARB rep, and his reply was that you mount your 10000lb winch off your bullbar, so why not the recovery points. Know nothing about rangies and on the Defender I chickened out and still stuck them on the chassis.Im sure I,ve been a huge help!

I have ARB bars on both vehicles.

I have done many snatch and winch recoveries with them using the points already on the bars (welded re-enforced plate with hole in middle on underside of bar) They're in line with the chassis rails.

Never had a problem. No signs of fatigue so far. I have no reason not to trust them.

Talking of recovery, which is the best way to go as far as electrically operated winches versus turfers goes?

Any views, would a 1600 kg turfer cope with a disco??

Have a look at http://www.aulro.com/modules.php'set_album...=view_album.php (http://www.aulro.com/modules.php'set_albumName=album298&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php) for pics of what I did to reinfoce my ARB bar. Worked a treat - not even Ray's Kubota could budge them.
