Has any one heard or know of this www.dieselgas.com.au

I've had a look and it looks good.

I believe its about $3300 fitted.

Can all you techno guys have a look at it and give your opinion, it impressed me especially the economy figures.

Cheers

I have had a look as well, and am interested, mainly as a way of getting a modest increase in power and fuel efficiency. But from a purely fuel economy point of view, it would have a long payback. I need to overhaul my engine in perhaps another 100,000 to 200,000km (only done 400,000) and will look at adding this then, but doesn't seem to be justified with such a high mileage engine as I have at present.

Hi guys,

Check out the LPG fumigation thread
http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Foru...ight=fumigation (http://www.aulro.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=6920&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=fumigation)

I found a bunch of other sites that go on and on about it, then I went on and on about it.

I ended up thinking that it's a great thing, except that if you give it too much juice you cook your engine. It seemed that like any significant performance modification; if you put it onto an engine not prepared for it you get toast.

It also looked like if you used LPG as 10% of your fuel mix everything is fine and safe. But then not so much extra power.

There's a link to a great site of a guy who made his own.

Cheers,

Simon.

Thanks Simon will have a look at the old threads. From what I gather from these guys cooking the engine not possible.

I am going up to talk to them and get a test drive in their 110, but I want to talk to those that have had it fitted before I made a decision either way.

Their claim is around 100,00km before break even, I'll have mine at least that much longer.

Cheers
Bryce

I had a look at a Td5 Disco II they were converting today. Neat twin gas tanks - one under each sill. The air compressor for the rear suspension airbags had been relocated.

There was also a Disco 1 with twin tanks, also mounted under the sills. This avoids taking up room inside, as well as a customers 130 that had been converted.

I also had a look under the 130 'cos it had a long range tank under the driver's side sill - the same as my 110. The tank was branded LRA - I guess that could mean Les Richmond Automotive. I'll ask the 130 owner next week.

LRA in tanks means Long Range Automovite

Let us know what you think of the drive. I have been looking at it myself.
